This brilliant event takes place every year in the lovely town of Portsoy, a short amble from Driftwood Cottage,  just down the road from our Sandend holiday cottage, and an easy drive from our other Moray Coast cottages.

For the first time since 2019, the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival returns as a live event on 17-19 June 2022.

Organisers can’t wait to deliver an in-person event again and will be making waves with an action-packed weekend of festival fun, celebrating seafaring heritage, food and drink, music and dance, crafts and much more.

Due to covid, 2021 was a digital festival so you can get a taster of the highlights! In the superb natural setting of Portsoy’s harbour, as featured in Whisky Galore and Peaky Blinders, there’s no better place to celebrate.
